7 million flowers are planted every year at Keukenhof and they only last 8 weeks

At Keukenhof, 7 million bulbs were planted by hand in just three months. The gardeners are in operation all year, and the flowers are in bloom for just eight weeks. The last time they bloomed, they could not open after 71 long years because of the pandemic, and this year isn’t getting any better. We went to Keukenhof to find out how they’re faring during their second year as victims of pandemics.
