74th Cannes Film Festival To Feature Three Korean Films

The 74th Cannes Film Festival starts from July 6-17, 2020. Three Korean films will be showcased. Han Jae-rim’s Disaster Declaration is among the movie. It stars Song Kang-ho and Jeon Doyeon. Park Haejoon, Park Haejoon, Kim Nam-gil and Im Siwan. In the Out of Competition section, the disaster film will show.

Expect to see I’m, Song and Lee as actors at the festival. Lee Byung-hun will be the Korean actor who presents an award at the festival. He expected to do so towards the end.

The Song will join Mati Dip, Mylene Farmers, Kleber Mendonca Filho, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Jessica Hausner on the festival’s feature film juries. Song’s recent film parasite won the Palme d’Or, the festival’s highest honor. The Song is the Korean actor who sits on the jury. However, Song is also the fifth Korean juror, after actress Jeon Doyeon, Lee Changdong, and Park Chan-wook.

In front of Your Face, directed and produced by Hong Sang-Soo, was chosen for the Cannes Premieres section. This category was dedicated to films by established filmmakers. It is the director’s eleventh entry to the festival.

Cicada is Yoon Dae-won’s third Korean film. The short film was invited for the section dedicated to student filmmakers.

For this year’s Palme d’Or, twenty-four films are expected to compete.
